With Ford confirming that the Ford Fiesta RS model is not going to happen, it was assumed that the ST model will remain the fastest Ford Fiesta model we will be seeing but that is not the case. Ford as at the Geneva Motor Show where they showed off the new Ford Fiesta ST200 model.
The model will be offering more ponies than the ST model and that it not the only upgrade it got. Under the hood of the Ford Fiesta, ST200 model is an engine that will be delivering about 197hp and 214lb ft of torque on average and up to 212hp and 236lb ft of torque in over boost. The engine will allow the vehicle to go from 0-62mph in 6.7 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than the standard ST model.
Besides getting an engine upgrade, the Ford Fiesta ST200 will also be fitted with a set of 17inch alloy wheels, Recaro bucket seats and more. The sad part is that we will not be seeing this faster ST model here in the US.
