Whenever a game developer created a title and plans to publish it, they often get rejected by Microsoft for aliasing with Sony. The developers prefer to approach PS4 as they are easier. This gives Sony the upper hand thanks to its better terms.
Microsoft spokesperson, Chris Carla, acknowledges the difficulties faced by indie developers. At the moment, Microsoft is working to lower its barriers and urged the developers to talk to them.
It is often difficult for independent developers to do a cross platform release. As Microsoft looks to ease the process for them, it will be a positive move for the gaming industry as more game developers enter the scene.
