The Google Nexus 5 has been out for some weeks now and the handset has been a success. When it was launched it had to compete with many other devices that already held a place on the market, so how was the Nexus 5 able to stand up to them?
To find out how well it compares you do have to understand what the Nexus is all about. The Nexus brand was designed by Google as a way to show off new features in Android and the handset itself does set the benchmark for other device makers to follow. The Nexus One came out and when it did it put other handsets into the shadows. The follow up Nexus handset brought NFC to the market and the Nexus 5 arrived with KitKat 4.4 installed.
The Nexus 5 offers more than an operating system as it has a great processor, camera and some good hardware. The price tag cannot be beat by other phone makers, which does mean that the Nexus 5 is a very strong contender on the smartphone market. We heard that MobileBurn recently put the Nexus 5 up against other devices, these were said to include the Apple iPhone 5S, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung Galaxy S4, the Moto X, LG G2 and the HTC One.
It has been said that while the Nexus 5 is a great device, you are either going to love it or hate it when you get it in your hand.
