Earlier this month, there has been an overwhelming amount of buzz for Titanfall. As soon as the game got released, it peaked in all the charts worldwide. However, things didn’t last long or Titanfall which saw a 73% decline in sales on its second week.
So what is at number one? Looking at the UK charts, it appears that the PlayStation-exclusive Infamous: Second Son has overtaken Titanfall for the number one spot. This latest title is the second biggest thing to happen on the PS4 after Killzone: Shadow Fall back in November.
Infamous: Second Son was also able to surpass the latest Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, which now sits at 2nd place. In the standalone chart, it is Metal Gear Solid for the PS4 that sits in 2nd place, one spot ahead of Titanfall for the Xbox One.
It isn’t all that bad for Microsoft latest console considering the huge amount of PS4 gamers compared to the Xbox One. Even being inferior in numbers, the Xbox community should be happy for getting Titanfall all the way to the third spot.
Nevertheless, there is no denying that Infamous: Second Son deserves top spot. Who knew that a Playstatio-exclusive title was able to outdo that of the Xbox. Sony is probably grinning at the moment but as the competition heats up, only the gamers will benefit from this.
