It wasn’t that long ago when Samsung unveiled its Galaxy S5 smartphone and soon after that, this hot device is already getting challenged by HTC.
The Taiwanese-phone vendor is looking to prevent the Galaxy S5 from getting the upper hand early in 2014. As such, HTC will unveil the One 2 on March 25 next week. This is going to be a nightmare for Samsung as HTC looks to hijack the spotlight on the S5.
It appears that HTC One 2 will be released 2 weeks after it’s unveiling. This is confirmed by a Tweet from HTCFamily.ru which revealed that the One 2 will be released to 110 countries worldwide 2 weeks after it gets unveiled.
Previously, HTC warned consumers on Twitter that they will regret purchasing the Galaxy S5 before looking at the HTC One 2. This hints at the Taiwanese flagship device to be the Galaxy S5 killer.
The HTC One 2 smartphone is expected to run on a quad-core 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB RAM. There is a mix-up with the phone’s display with some suggesting it to be 4.7inch while others claiming it is 5.1inch.
Nevertheless, the HTC One 2 certainly heats up the competition for 2014 phone of the year. With HTC’s gung ho approach, we will certainly learn more on their device come March 25 next week.
