It has been said that the release date for the Google Nexus 10 could be alongside the release of the Nexus 8 tablet, which will go head to head with the tablets from Apple.
One of the latest rumours is that the Google Nexus 10 2nd gen will come out later on this year alongside the 8.9 version of the tablet, which is said to be replacing the Nexus 7. The Apple iPad Air and iPad Mini retina has been dominating the market and it seems that Google could have plans to compete with them.
It is not thought that the release of the 2nd gen Nexus 10 will happen soon. This is down to the fact that the mass production of devices of Google will be in July or August to meet their launch time frame. It will come with a price tag that matches the specs and features it has been said.
Reports did suggest that a full-fledged tablet would be announced at the Google conference, which is set to take place in June. There has been many rumoured release dates for the 2nd gen Nexus 10 already.
At the moment the tablet hasn’t been confirmed by Google. The first tablet came from a union with Samsung and it has been rumoured that they will be involved with the 2nd gen too. However we have also heard rumours which say that HTC or ASUS could make the tablet. Reports suggested that Google were working alongside HTC for the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10.
Rumours have suggested that the Google Nexus 10 2nd gen could have a display of 10.1 inches with resolution of 2560 x 1600. This would have protection from Gorilla Glass 3. It may have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor at 2.3GHz or perhaps the NVIDIA Tegra 4. It may also arrive with 3GB of RAM and the Adreno 330 GPU.
It could be offered in 16GB and 32GB of storage. Rumour has it that the camera on the back could be 8MP, with one of 2.1MP on the front. It is also said that it would support dual band W-Fi along with Bluetooth 4.0, dual side NFC and a battery of 9500mAh, which cannot be swapped.
