Animal Crossing vs Pokemon X & Y: Results Are In

Last November, the world witnessed the coming of the next-gen consoles. Both the Xbox One and PS4 are powerful machines in their respective ways. However, it is wrong to not acknowledge Nintendo as a gaming superpower.

The Japanese-based game developer/distributor has revealed on the games’ sales performance. This involves both its mobile console, the 3DS and the home machine, Wii U.

It came to no surprise that both Pokemon X & Y tops the charts selling a combined total of 11.16 million copies. These latest Pokemon games shattered every record in Nintendo.

Another golden brand from Nintendo is Mario. This classic game shares a love/hate relationship with every gamer. The fans certainly loves the Mario Kart 7 as it recorded 9.35million copies sold.

This isn’t the case with New Super Mario Brothers 2. If there is one thing gamers hate is a modern remake is the fact that it threatens or destroys the reputation of the game. New Super Mario Brothers 2 did poorly. The game recorded only 7.63million copies sold which is disappointing considering the hype Nintendo built to promote it.

Then there is Animal Crossing New Leaf. It is not as old as Pokemon or even that new. Animal Crossing has been on a constant incline in terms of sale that it may even surpass the likes of Pokemon.

All in all, Nintendo is definitely a gaming powerhouse. It may look like Sony and Microsoft is the grandmasters of the gaming industry but lurking behind the shadows is none other than Nintendo.
