Samsung Galaxy S4 Models Unlocked Thanks To Leaked Code

Owners of one of the Samsung devices, including the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and S4 whose handset is locked will be pleased to hear about an unlock code that has leaked online. Owners of locked handsets can use this code to unlock their device and it can then be used anywhere in the world.

If for instance the Samsung Galaxy S3 was purchased with a contract on Verizon, the handset will be locked to the carrier. Once the contract has expired the owner could want to take the handset to another carrier and the device would need to be unlocked.

Unlocking the device is easy and the first step is to remove the SIM card of yours and then put one in that belongs to another carrier. You should then turn off the handset and turn it back on.

Go to the dial pad and enter *#197328640#. Go to your main menu > [1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3] Perso SHA256 OFF. Wait for 30 seconds or a minute before going back to your main menu and choosing “back”. You will now see a “Network Lock” message. Choose [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ.

If you typed in the sequence right, it should read: “Asterisk Pound One Nine Seven Three Two Eight Six Four Zero Pound”. Remember that some people call the asterisk “star”, and the pound button “hash”.

You should now have unlocked your Samsung handset and will be free to use it with any carrier, anywhere around the globe. As this code has been used for a long time by engineers at Samsung, it should work with many Samsung devices.
