If you are the owner of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or perhaps the Samsung Galaxy S4, and your device is locked, you will be happy to hear about a leaked unlock code. The code will unlock any Samsung handset and it will then be able to use any SIM card from any carrier.
You may have purchased the Samsung Galaxy S3 on contract some time ago and it is locked to that carrier. If you unlock it you can put any SIM card in it and then use it with another carrier or even send the handset overseas to a friend. So if your contract has run out you can take the SIM from the device and put another one in. switch off the device and turn it back on again.
You should then open up the dialler app and enter *#197328640#. Go to your main menu > [1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3] Perso SHA256 OFF. Wait for 30 seconds or a minute before going back to your main menu and choosing “back”. You will now see a “Network Lock” message. Choose [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ.
If you typed in the sequence right, it should read: “Asterisk Pound One Nine Seven Three Two Eight Six Four Zero Pound”. Remember that some people call the asterisk “star”, and the pound button “hash”.
You should now have a handset that is unlocked and you can use it anywhere in the world with any SIM card. The code has been used for some time by engineers at Samsung, so it could work with many Samsung devices.
