If you thought that it was easy being able to complete the Pokedex then you may want to think again as it is harder than first thought in Pokemon X & Y. This is down to the fact that any Pokemon you brought in from pre-gen Pokedex will not be counted.
A gamer said that he became a victim to this as he got the certificates and the oval charm but he couldn’t complete the Kalos Pokedex. This was down to the fact that he had Buizel who is an older gen Pokemon. He went ahead and posted a screenshot of it.
The fix around it is fairly easy though. If you are in this predicament all you have to do is catch the Kalos version of that Pokemon and this solves the problem. You can only complete the Kalos Dex if all of the Pokemon were caught or hatched in the region.
So in this respect the Pokedex in Pokemon X & Y does happen to be hard to complete. Before you could do the Pokedex on your own but now you will benefit from having friends working alongside you.
