KitKat 4.4.2 test firmware has leaked online for the Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9505. The build number I905XXUFNA1 is said to have been tested and seems to be stable, apart from one or two hiccups, which may be expected. Samsung may begin to roll out the update in February or March for the Samsung Galaxy S4.
Minor changes have been noticed to the user interface with one being the status bar icons, which used to have the Gingerbread green styling and are now white and look great against the transparent status bar.
The performance received a slight bump up and there has been an increase in the benchmark scores. In landscape mode the keyboard layout has been improved, so typing is easier, while the gesture typing works great too. On the lock-screen Samsung have included a shortcut to the camera.
Anyone considering updating should bear in mind that this is a test build of the firmware and not the official from Samsung. Instructions have been given below ti make the update.
