Last December, the GTA community got themselves the feel of celebrating Christmas in GTA 5. To be exact, the players have been exploiting the North Yankton glitch to do so since Los Santos does not snow. While most glitches are often hated by players, this particular one appealed to them.
To the disappointment of the fans, Rockstar immediately blocked the entry to North Yankton. Ever since late last December, North Yankton is now a mission only area. Nevertheless, some players never gave up hope.
Following the 1.09 patch update, these crop of players were loud when they discovered that the glitch is back on. For those who have missed the previous opportunity, they can now experience the cold North Yankton in GTA Online.
The same methods are practiced to get there. You need two players to pull it off. One player should start with Single Player mode and re-play the first mission titled Bury the Hatchet. When in the North Yankton outdoors, get a friend to invite you to an Invite Only session. Accept the invite and get an aircraft. Fly together with your friend to the right-bottom corner of the map. There you will find North Yankton.
The GTA community is probably hoping that it won’t get patched again as the North Yankton glitch does no harm. Some sectors in the community are even thinking of creating a mission there. Who knows how it will turn out?
