GTA 5 has been out for some time now and gamers love it, some also seem to like cheating in the game and the list of cheats for GTA 5 on the Xbox 360 and PS3 is long. However Rockstar has recently been throwing many money hackers into the cheater lobby and surprisingly there are reports popping up across the GTA Support forums that many cheats have been disabled.
Now there is news that a pre-1.09 patch is coming along to kill the secret DNS hacks many gamers are using to further exploit gameplay in GTA Online. While we wait for that, we decided to take a look at just how many cheat codes have been compromised after the recent string of GTA patches.
Cheat lists are long for GTA 5 so it took us sometime to test them all. Here is an updated list of GTA 5 cheats for the PS3 and Xbox 360 that still work at the time of this story. Mind you, the next GTA patch is tipped to release next Tuesday so we can expect more surprises.
One cheat is Circle(2), L1, Circle(3), L1, L2, R1, Triangle, Circle, Triangle and this cheat gives the gamer a Buzzard helicopter which comes complete with guns and missiles.
Gamers who want to bring down the wanted level may be interested in another cheat. This is R1(2), Circle, R2, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, this allows gamers to avoid getting caught by the police.
While cheats are a bit of fun gamers may want to bear in mind that when they activate and use cheats they will not be able to collect trophies. Therefore they are reminded to save the game before enabling the cheats.
These cheats are for an Xbox controller. If you’re on the PS3, then:
Substitute Square for X
Circle for B
Triangle for Y
Cross for A
RB is like R1, and LB is like L1. R2 is like RT and L2 is like LT.
Save your game before using the cheats. Once you restart your console, the cheats won’t be in effect any longer.
Drunk Mode
While playing game, rapidly press Y, Right (twice), Left, Right, X, B, Left.
Slow-motion Mode
While playing, rapidly press Y, Left, Right (twice), X, RT, RB. This code can be entered up to four times to increase its effect, and a fifth time to disable it.
Change Weather
While playing, rapidly press RT, A, LB (twice), LT (three times), X. Each time the code’s entered, it cycles through thunder, clear, and snowy weather.
Spawn Buzzard
While, quickly press B (twice), LB, B (three times), LB, LT, RB, Y, B, Y. The Buzzard is a helicopter with missiles and guns. It must be spawned in a large enough area for it to appear, or it won’t happen.
Flaming Bullets
While playing, quickly press LB, RB, X, RB, Left, RT, RB, Left, X, Right, LB (twice).
Explosive Bullets
While playing the game, rapidly press Right, X, A, Left, RB, RT, Left, Right (twice), LB (three times).
Explosive Melee Attacks
While playing, quickly hit Right, Left, A, Y, RB, B (three times), LT.
Slow-motion Aim
While playing game, rapidly press X, LT, RB, Y, Left, X, LT, Right, A. This code can be entered up to four times to increase the effect, and a fifth time to stop it.
Slidey Cars
While playing, quickly press Y, RB (twice), Left, RB, LB, RT, LB.
Skyfall
While playing, quickly press LB, LT, RB, RT, Left, Right, Left, Right, LB, LT, RB, RT, Left, Right, Left, Right. This code teleports you into the air without a parachute.
Lower Wanted Level
While playing game, rapidly press RB (twice), B, RT, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left.
Raise Wanted Level
While playing the game, rapidly press RB (twice), B, RT, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right.
Recharge Ability
While playing game, rapidly press A (twice), X, RB, LB, A, Right, Left, A.
Faster Run
While playing, quickly press Y, Left, Right (twice), LT, LB, X.
Faster Swim
While playing the game, quickly hit Left (twice), LB, Right (twice), RT, Left, LT, Right.
Spawn Rapid GT
While playing game, quickly press RT, LB, B, Right, LB, RB, Right, Left, B, RT.
Spawn Sanchez

Spawn Duster

Spawn Caddy

Spawn Comet
