Titanfall is nearing its release and there is an overwhelming amount of anticipation for this brand new AAA game from Respawn Entertainment.
Despite offering a simple yet unique gameplay, Titanfall is still an FPS title and it bears many similar things to the likes of both Battlefield and Call of Duty. As the game gets closer to its debut, more leaks has surfaced which gives fans a better understanding of Titanfall’s levelling mechanism.
The leak claims that the maximum level a player can achieve in Titanfall is 50. Once players have reached this level, they can regenerate. This is similar to the prestige mode in Call of Duty. Heck, even the message prompting players to regenerate are similar as well.
It quotes, “Warning! You will lose all that you have unlocked and be reset to level 1. All challenges will be reset.”
However, there is more depth to it. The leak hints that there is a story behind the player’s character. Once the player agrees to regenerate, a cut-scene will take place with the following dialogue.
“Years of battle have taken their toll. We can regenerate you… at a cost. Your body can be restored. But your memory and your experience…all will be lost. When you awaken you will respawn a [next level] generation Pilot. You will be better, sharper, acquiring experience even faster than before.”
Last but not least, it is important for players to note that they can regenerate a total of 10 times before maxing out.
