Reasons Why You Should Buy Road Hugger Tires
The Tires Are Affordable
Based on how affordable they are, we advise you to consider purchasing a Road Hugger tire. Road Hugger tires are not sold as Original Equipment, but instead, for drivers restricted by their budget, they are capable replacement tires. The Road Hugger GT Ultra is sold for only $88. This means that for less than $500, you could outfit your vehicle with a complete set. And this is quite an astoundingly low price. A complete set of UHP tires would cost upwards of $1000 on average. In a category where budget options are hard to find, the Discount tire company provides a great line of tires. A complete set Road Hugger is a great option if you’re on a strict budget but yet you want a good quality tire.
The Road Hugger Tires offer Great Performance
UHP tires are bought by car owners because they require tires that show their car’s maximum performance potential. At an affordable price, it is unlikely to find great quality UHP tires. In handling and cornering, Road Hugger tires show unique performance that is comparable to the performance enhancement that is afforded by premium UHP tires. It is a great reason to consider outfitting Road Hugger tires on your vehicle, the fact that they offer performance gains at such a low cost.
Design Features of the Road Hugger Tires
Handling of the Road Hugger Tires
With a range of design elements, Road Hugger tires greatly improve the traction and grip of any vehicle they are fitted on. With an all-season tread compound, the brand’s tires are manufactured and are paired with an asymmetric tread pattern. On both dry and wet roads, drivers can expect constant grip and this is all thanks to the tread design. And to maintain the stability that allows drivers to drive at high-speeds, its tires utilize a solid center rib. This is all done while also improving your vehicle’s braking and accelerating abilities. By designing tires with shoulder blocks and ribs that allow drivers to negotiate corners while driving fast, the brand greatly augments cornering stability.
1. Road Hugger GT Eco Tire
The Road Hugger GT Eco was built with sporty handling and dependable traction in mind. This Hugger GT Eco also features a comfortable ride. And for drivers of all types of coupes and sedans who are looking for a value-priced all-season tire, this model offers an eco-friendly tread design. For increased fuel efficiency, it has been installed with a special tread compound that lowers rolling resistance. It does all this while also lowering carbon dioxide emissions and being more environmentally friendly. And to enhance handling and stability throughout the speed range, the five rib pattern uses interlocking tread blocks. On a more positive note, for additional handling and cornering performance, the tire incorporates apex filler that extends up into the sidewall.
To increase traction on wet road surfaces and reduce the risk of hydroplaning, the tire is equipped with four large circumferential grooves and crossover grooves. And for some extra grip in light snow and other winter conditions, the full-depth sipes around the tread add biting edges. You will also find two steel-belted constructions and a polyester cord body inside the tire. The function of these is to add strength and durability and improve ride comfort as well. The Road Hugger GT Eco is offered in different sizes which range from 15-17 inches, and it also comes with a 60,000-mile tread warranty.

Overview of the Road Hugger GT Eco Tire
We found the Road Hugger GT Eco delivers some pretty good overall performance with a tread design that is quite similar to the Kumho KH30. On dry pavement, grip and handling feel confident. This is something that you can only find on more expensive all-season tires. The Road Hugger GT Eco gives the ride comfort, and even though there is a little road noise produced from this tire, we don’t find it to be anything too excessive. Even though you can say that for most all-season tires, for this model, winter handling is not a strong point. Even though this model holds its own in light snow, we advise you don’t expect too much when conditions get worse. Ultimately, this is not a bad choice in new tires with its low price and decent performance.
