AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Is In A Heap Of Trouble

Users of AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy Note 3 have been tolerating a major bug that has plagued their device for months now and they are beginning to snap. After so much feedback and complains to the US carrier, a fix is still pending its release.

The issue lies with the phone’s GPS which often disconnects whenever an automated network switch occurs or when charging the Galaxy Note 3. In specific, every time the Note 3 switches from 4G LTE to 4G, the GPS network switches off. Similarly, plugging and unplugging the phone’s charger will result in the same fate.

Users are so fed up with the long wait for a fix that a petition was raised on change.org. It is certainly a mistake on AT&T’s end which has taken almost 6 months in counting to fix the issue. Even worse, the carrier is still selling the malfunctioning Galaxy Note 3 without alerting its customers.

This issue is an AT&T-exclusive. Other Galaxy Note 3 users from around the world have a perfectly working GPS.

The fix for this GPS bug isn’t far from its release after all. There is a reason for the long delay and it is with AT&T’s decision to roll out the promised Android 4.4 KitKat update to its Note 3. Other carriers have already sent out the KitKat to their customers and AT&T is next in line to do so.

The KitKat OS is expected to resolve the issue at the expense of the consumers. If only AT&T immediately sent out a fixing upon learning the issue, things wouldn’t have escalated this far.
