Three Android devices from different manufacturers have been unveiled and they are the Sony Xperia Z2, Samsung Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8. Most smartphones today are already fast enough to handle just about any application available.
As such, we shall look in the camera features as things have elevated to a whole new level. The Galaxy S5 in particular has gotten an upsize. The rear camera on this device is now at 16MP. This is 4.7MP short of the Sony Xperia Z2. Then there is the M8 with only 4MP rear camera.
While the Z2 and S5 are both enjoying larger pixel count, the HTC One M8 is more interested in offering Dual LED flash which will capture crisp image despite being at only 4MP.
In terms of function, Samsung is clearly the winner as it offer users features such as Dual Shot and Phase detection autofocus which is not available on the HTC One M8 and Sony Xperia Z2.
As for video capturing, the Sony Xperia Z2 and the Samsung Galaxy S5 are both equally match as they are able to record videos at 2160p@30FPS. This is twice of what the HTC One M8 has got to offer. However, the HTC One M8 can record surround sound.

In conclusion, the HTC One M8 is the best when it comes to snapping pictures at low light. The Galaxy S5 is blessed with an artificial focus which won’t make photo taking a complicated task for the users. The Sony Z2 is certainly detail with its captures.
