This year, the Samsung Galaxy S5, LG G3, HTC One M8 and the Sony Xperia Z2 will be competing against each other. Both the S5 and the Z2 has been unveiled recently whereas the M8 is expected to come next week. As for the G3, the release is unknown but we expect it to come in summer. With so much information on all the devices, let us see the best phone of the crop.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 features the best display the world has ever seen to date. The 5.1 inch Super AMOLED screen offers a 1920×1080 resolution with 421ppi. There is that 2,800mAh battery which comes together with a Super Power Saving feature. The feature allows 24 hours of usage with just 10% battery. Of course, the phone will be reduced to its basics and the screen will turn black and white. Other features include a fingerprint scanner and the heart rate sensor.
Over at HTC, there is the One M8. It will feature a 5inch full HD display that offers 1080p at 441ppi. The device is expected to stay on par with the Galaxy S5 with a Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at either 2.3GHz or 2.5GHz with either 2GB or 3GB RAM. It will come in two variants and they are the 32GB option and the 64GB. The best feature to come with the M8 is the Ultrapixel camera which is dual lens. The pixel count will be about 4MP and the battery to be 3100mAh. There is a possibility of it having a fingerprint scanner.
Then there is the Sony Xperia Z2. The device runs on the 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB RAM. Like every Sony devices, the Z2 will be water and dust resistant. There is a whopping 20.7MP rear camera that is capable of capturing videos at 4K. As for the screen, it is 5.2inch in size and will offer 421ppi.
Finally is the G3 from LG. Word has it that the G3 will run on an octa-core processor from Odin or even the Snapdragon 805. Four cores will be clocked at 2.2GHz and the rest at 1.7GHz. There is a 3GB RAM to compliment it and a QHD 2K display. Other rumoured features include a fingerprint scanner, retina display and a powerful camera.
Based on all these information, clearly the LG G3 is a revolutionary phone. The other three are merely upgrades of their predecessors. Then again, we will find out for sure once they are all released.
