Xbox One is Maxed Out Already, So Don’t Ask for More

Turn 10 Studios’ creative director Dan Greenwalt had recently said that the Forza 5 game had been design to use 100% of the Xbox One processing capabilities. He said this on an interview for the Xbox magazine, X-One magazine.

Dan Greenwalt said that Turn 10 Studios was not the only developer that developed their program to full utilize Xbox One’s maximum processing ability. He said every other developer had done the same thing too. But why did Call of Duty: Ghosts was downgraded to native 720p upscaled instead of hitting the native 1080p and 60fps standard? Come to think of it, it didn’t really make sense that the release title for the Xbox One to fully utilize the maximum processing capabilities of the console. How the hell would the developers make improvements to the games then?

When asked that, Greenwalt said; “But the truth is that I get asked are we using 100 per cent of the box? Of course we are. Everyone is. Even people who are upscaling are still using 100 per cent of the box. What happens over the course of years is that we get better at tricking the box into doing what we want. It’s optimisation.

“We had more time so we’re very well optimised and we will continue to optimise this game. If you think about Forza 2, it was a well optimised game, but Forza 4 looked a lot better than Forza 2. That just comes with time.” He added.

Let’s face it, the developers had been developing the release titles for Xbox One to the maximum capability that was allowed by the console maker. The true processing capabilities for the Xbox One had been made off limits for the time being. The Xbox One would be released on 22nd November and you can get Forza Motorsport 5 for Xbox One at the same day.
