If you have a bit of knowledge about the military then you will know that a flashbang is used for blinding enemies. It appears that Ford are now going to use a similar technique for their future cars.
To be more exact, Ford have just released a prototype of a technology that they have named camera lights. It’s basically a set of fog lights. The camera lights have the ability to finy any hazards on the road when it is dark and illuminate any person, animal or object that it might come accross.
The feature independently turns the lights and shines them straight at the potential danger that it has found. We do have a few worries however, that rather than being a positive thing that the lights could actually cause more issues.
That is because if they light were directed straight at a person then the lights would blind them makign it hard for them to respond quickly and get out of the way, which could potentially result in an accident.
According to Ford the lights are close to being finished and if that is true then we may find them being used on the forthcoming Focus RS. Ford have not demonstated the lights yet so of course we can not say for sure that humans would indeed be blinded by the lights.
