Gamers playing COD should not find this too much of a surprise. Sledgehammer is unable to ignore COD as it is a multi-million dollar games. Sledgehammer should be focusing on a multi-player experience of high level. It has been suggested that we could see Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 come out in November.
While Sledgehammer have not come right and said that the COD game this year is going to be Modern Warfare 4, last month Drift0r uploaded a video revealing insider information about the game. Other calls have been made in relation to COD in the past and then have been revealed to the public. It was said that an email had been sent with media files attached that came from the alpha build of Modern Warfare 4.
“Somebody inside the CoD machine shared with me a variety of media files claiming to be from the next game,” Drift0r said. “The files I was sent do look legitimate and they are, at least, unique and not out there on the Internet anywhere else.”
It was said that Drift0r had seen a new Modern Warfare 4 map and that the game has the setting of a power station. The game was said to be set in the near future and it came with a weapon that was similar to those in Titanfall and a PDA was seen on the players wrist.
Drift0r said that he is 99.9% sure that it will be Modern Warfare 4 this year for COD. Ghosts is said to be the worst game in the series and then there was Battlefield 4 which arrived with plenty of bugs. Fans are now looking forward to Titanfall and Destiny. Sledgehammer does have a lot of pressure on them and it could be the reason why the co-founder has said that Modern Warfare 4 could be one of the most ambitious games that has ever been made.
Sledgehammer will come with some competition in November. EA have Titanfall and Star Wars: Battlefront. There could be some competition by way of Halo 5, but then the Xbox One sales could mean that the console isn’t going to be the most dominant one.
So Sledgehammer seems to do everything right and Modern Warfare 4 could be superb as they will want to put the next gen consoles to good use. It seems that they do have some big ideas on how to stir things up. The release calendar isn’t going to be too crowded, so COD fans could end up with a game that they well deserve.
