Well, diesel is close to dead for Volkswagen so their only option now is to go electric and it looks like they are going to do that is a big way. According to Matthias Muller, Volkswagen will be releasing 30 new electric-powered vehicles on the road in the next 10 years.
While that sounds like a near impossible task, some people think that Volkswagen might be able to do it. How? Well, by introducing new EV trims. We do not if that is what Volkswagen plans to do so we will have to wait and see.
Volkswagen also added that to one of their plans will also include building their own electric batteries for their electric powered models.
We do not know how this new plan will affect the current model or whether it will succeed or not but with countries like Germany all aiming to be 100% emission free by 2030, we should be seeing more automakers focusing on electric powered models soon.
