Most buyers were not willing to pay that much to try out the new turbo hybrid Jetta and things just went downhill from there. The Volkswagen Jette Hybrid came in running on a 1.4-liter turbo four engine and a 20kW electric motor that was mated to a seven-speed DSG. The engine delivered about 170hp combined.
