Anyone who is with Verizon and who has been waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S5 will now that the carrier refuses to offer pre-orders of the phone, while the rest of the carriers in the US are offering the handset for pre-purchase and with deals. The only thing that Verizon has said about the Samsung Galaxy S5 is on an old pre-registration page, with no details about pre-order, pricing or when the handset will be available.
This could be down to the fact that Verizon are thinking about launching the Samsung Galaxy S5 earlier than 11 April, but this isn’t very likely. Verizon are the biggest carrier in the US and they are also known to delay some of the latest handsets to come out. Many people with the carrier who bought the Samsung Galaxy S3 on contract want to make the update to the Samsung Galaxy S5, but the lack of information has caused a lot of distress and worry among owners.
Verizon users have now taken to official forums to complain about the situation as Verizon happens to be the only US carrier who isn’t in a rush to get the phone or offer pre-orders. Many customers have said that they will move over to AT&T.
So it does look like there are many customers who are unhappy with Verizon right now.
This could be the push that Verizon needs to offer the Samsung Galaxy S5. If not then the amount of subscribers at AT&T could be boosted shortly.
Are you with Verizon and are you waiting for them to announce the Samsung Galaxy S5?
