The Google Nexus 5 turned the smartphone world upside down when it came to how much people had to pay for a decent phone. When it came out last year all the carriers apart from Verizon offered it.
As Verizon didn’t offer it, it would have been surprising if they had offered the next device. We have heard that the Nexus 6 could be coming out this year, in the autumn.
If so then it will be on the market over the next few months. As yet there hasn’t been any word on who is working on the handset. LG were behind the Nexus 4 and 5 so they could also be behind the Nexus 6. On the other hand it could be someone like Lenovo or Motorola.
When it arrives it will be in competition with such as the iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S5. We have also heard that there could be a CDMA/LTE version of the Nexus 6 coming out just months before the Nexus 6.
