The LG G2 is one of the best smartphones of 2013 and Verizon has promised to roll out the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for it. While that is pending to happen, G2 users can already skip the wait and jump straight to getting the update.
However, the KitKat we’re speaking of is an unofficial build and one needs to have some basic knowledge in ADB. If you are confident that you can pull off the installation, then read on for a brief guide on how to do so.
The first ingredient needed is the ROM which can obtained on the internet. The ROM is called VS98012B. Now, the LG G2 has to be rooted and it is best to do so via AutoPrime. Following that, the bin file has to be downloaded before being renamed and place in a specific folder inside the G2.
Then, users will have key in the appropriate ADB codes in order for the KitKat to function on the G2. Once done, the smartphone should reboot on its own and it will hence run on the new OS.
