Verizon Android KitKat Update Plans: Galaxy Note, Droid Lineup & More

It is updates galore for smartphone users on the Verizon network. The company has updated its support pages yesterday and viewers can see that many devices are en-route to get the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

Things have already commence as the KitKat is now available for the Motorola Droid Razr M, Droid Razr HD, Droid Razr Maxx HD and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

The update that is coming to Motorola devices will not just be with the KitKat. Users will also get newer versions of the Droid Zap app, patches for security, WiFi and roaming.

Verizon has rolled out the update via OTA and in phases. On the other hand, users can manually check for the update by going to the Software Update option listed in their device’s settings. Alternatively, users can obtain the update by downloading them straight from Verizon’s support page.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users can obtain the update easily. This is thanks to KIES and the Verizon Software Update Assistant preloaded on the phablet.
