We saw a story earlier this week that suggested it was unlikely that Uncharted 4 would see the light of day in 2014.
This might not be the case, though. Naughty Dog said it wants to clarify the release date issue and claims that 2014 isn’t beyond the realms of possibility. The company said that people have been adding two and two and coming up with five. PlayStation Lifestyle talked to Monacelli, who said that things were interpreted wrongly and that he’d actually been responding to a question about an Easter egg:
“UC4 Easter Eggs? UC4 for PS$ in 2014 … LOU GOTY edition please!!” Monacelli replied with “Ha. Doubtful.”
We’ve also seen an Uncharted 4 trailer that shows how the game will be based on revenge. Drake isn’t the narrator so we might infer that he’s the target for the revenge. The trailer’s map looks like it might be in South Africa, but don’t forget that Uncharted tends to have a massive map and multiple locations.
So, we could see Uncharted 4 this year! Even if we don’t, the fans will still wait patiently, as no-one’s going to give up!
