Our hope of ever seeing a new Portal 3 or Left 4 Dead 3 might have just ended as it was reported that Erik Wolpaw, the guy that co-wrote games like Half-Life, Portal and Left 4 Dead has left Valve.
According to Marc Laidlaw, Erik Wolpaw updated his Facebook workplace detail confirming that he will no longer be working wth Valve. We know that the only way Valve would produce those games was if there is somebody in Valve that is willing to work on those games once more. With Wolpaw gone, the chances of that happening are pretty slim now.
Wolpaw has not said anything yet so the reason for his departure is still a mystery.
The fans were, of course, devastated as this probably spell the end for some fo Valveās most iconic games. Most of them feel like Valve no longer feels like a real game developer right now.
