Earlier this year, it was teased that Left 4 Dead 3 is in production. However, things got ugly when many Half Life fans mistook the announcement for the highly anticipated Half Life 3 game.
To recap, Counter-Strike co-creator, Minh Le, teased that Left 4 Dead 3 is in development. The lad expressed his excitement with the zombie-themed franchise and can’t wait to start production.
Minh Le added that he has viewed some of the concept art for Left 4 Dead and quoted that it looks like those for Half Life 3. The moment Minh mentioned the latter, fans have gone on overdrive into believing that the co-creator is developing Half Life 3.
Apparently, that is really poor judgement from the fans. What Minh said was only referencing to what is going on within Valve’s development table. The Half Life 3 concept arts might be ready but production has yet to commence.
It is unsure if the confusion was brought up intentionally or unintentionally by Valve. For all we know, Left 4 Dead 3 is surely in the works and Half Life 3 is pending for confirmation. It is also worth noting that Left 4 Dead 3 is now being produced independently by Turtle Rock, not Valve.
