Forget Twitch, Here’s Pokemon With Occulus Rift!

The virtual reality gaming concept planned since more than a decade ago is about to arrive for sure. Oculus has been hard at work developing the VR Rift as they look to be the pioneer in this virtual reality movement.

There have been plenty of demonstrations on the Oculus Rift as of late. The latest involves playing Pokemon 3D on the VR headset.

If you are a stranger to Pokemon 3D, it is actually Pokemon Gold/Silver, redeveloped to have a first person 3D view instead of bird’s eye. The game is created by an indie developer that is heavily influenced by Minecraft.

A video of the demonstration got shared on Youtube and it certainly caught the attention of the world. For the first time ever, gamers witnessed how a Pokemon game will look like form a First-Person point of view. However, some settings needs to be tweaked as the Pokemon screen got cloned. Instead of both scopes displaying a screen as a whole, each scope has its own Pokemon 3D playing on the screen.

Nevertheless, the Oculus Rift headset certainly carries a lot of potential. It won’t be long into the future before such a device becomes the new means of gaming.
