Looking at the Nissan Leaf and Chevrolet Volt’s sales number, you would think that things are not looking too good for the green car market but that is not the case at all as Toyota reported a 5% increase in sales for the new Toyota Prius.
After all the hyped about the Nissan Leaf coming in with a larger battery pack and all the talks about the Chevrolet Volt upgrade, both models reported a drop in sales despite the fact that they are both coming in as a newly design model.
The response to the new Toyota Prius has been lukewarm at best thanks to its exterior design but it looks like people are willing to overlook the ugly exterior with the Prius offering some of the greenest numbers in the market.
According to the latest reports, the Toyota Prius will be offering about 53mpg to 58mpg depending on which model you select, the Eco model or the standard.
