Now that the new Toyota Prius is here, we are expecting to see the other family members join in but it looks like that will not be the case as it has been reported that we might be missing a few members this time.
Automotive News reported that Toyota might be thinking about taking out the Toyota Prius V wagon and Toyota Prius C compact hybrid model. It is believed that Toyota does not see the need to offer the Toyota Prius V wagon now that they have the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid SUV model to offer.
As for the compact model, all they said was that decision has not been made yet which means it could still be coming but there is also a possibility that Toyota will only want to focus on the standard model this time around.
With the prices of fuel now at a five-year low, it is understandable that automakers will want to control how many hybrids models they will be offering.
