Something mass produced will always have a flaw in its production. This fact is further proven with Toyota, which has recalled the Camry, Sienna, Avalon and Highlander over the possibility of a fuel leak. A total of 20,000 vehicles were being forced back into the workshop for further inspections.
It appears that the problem involves the vehicle that is powered by the 2GR-FE engine. This also means that the Lexus RX is affected as well.
In detail, the fuel delivery pipe has a leak which could trigger a fire. The culprit is with the supplier company for Toyota, which has failed to weld the parts properly. Then again, Toyota is relieved that there has yet to be any crashes, fires, fatalities or injuries that is caused by this issue.
The vehicles affected were all manufactured in the United States. This is except for the Lexus, which is manufactured in Canada. However, some of the vehicles have been shipped overseas to countries like South Korea, Australia, Russia and other parts of the Middle East.
Drivers of the affected vehicles are advised to step into any Toyota service centre to get their car checked. If the pipeline is truly from the culprit supplier, then it will automatically be replaced at no charge.
