CD Projekt’s The Witcher 3 is the latest gaming sensation around. The title came out a couple of days ago and it offers a tremendous gameplay experience that is tons better than The Witcher 2. Then again, the trailers all suggest that Witcher 3 is a Skyrim copycat.
Well, this perception must change since both Witcher 3 and Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim are two completely different titles. Yes, both worlds might share a lot of similarities with each other but the gameplay is totally different.
In The Witcher 3, players play as Geralt of Rivia. The game might offer an open world adventure but all the choices made in the game are somewhat linear as the entire plot revolves around the protagonist.
Meanwhile, in Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim, players create their own story with their self-created protagonist. Also, players get the freedom to do as they please in Skyrim like killing NPCs and deciding on the fate of every sub-plot as well as the main plot.
With that being said, it confirms that Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim and The Witcher 3 offer a completely different experience. Also, both are equally great games that RPG lovers should play.
