People playing Pokemon X and Y will be able to gain benefit from the Friend Safari. This is where players add friends to the Safari and here are some helpful tips to help you along with the way.
To get started you will need to add friends to the 3DS list. This will work both ways as your friends have to add you too. If they don’t they will not show in your safari.
In order to unlock a 3rd Pokemon and the hidden abilities or dream world you will have to meet them through the Pokemon Player Search system.
To ensure that you do this correctly you should look at your friend safari and check their icon. If you don’t see a “?” you will see a third Pokemon in the list. Bear in mind that your friends will have to fight the Elite 4 and win.
They may show up as a passerby and if so this is a bug and you just have to switch the 3DS wireless off and turn it back on again.
You will be able to see the Pokemon players online on a Google Doc list, this will give names, the safari type and the FC and you can add yourself onto it with this information.
