The Toyota Supra was the one that got the most attention when BMW and Toyota announce their partnership but that does not mean that the BMW Z5 will have nothing to offer.
Spies have been spotted the BMW Z5 getting tested out in the open and the latest set of spy shots sees the BMW Z5 test mule running around without a roof. While the rest of the vehicle was heavily covered in camo stickers, the fact that it is now running around topless is more than enough to get us all excited since it means that we are now one step closer to the production model.
Spies also notice that the test mule was wearing a set of production taillights. The base BMW Z5 will be powered by a 253hp engine. There will also be a 3.0 liter straight six engine that will be offering about 340hp. There were also talk about a Toyota hybrid powertrain joining the lineup but we will have to wait and see.
