The 2015 Ford Edge Set To Resemble The Santa Fe

The new concept for the Ford Edge showed us a flagship SUV for Europe desingned much like a Santa Fe.

The development of the Edge will most likey begin in 2015 and it will just above the Kuga midi-Suv and the EcoSport compact crossover. There has been speculation that the new car will include a new Mondeo/Fusion platform.

The SUV has a very sophistaicated appearance with the front bumper having a air cushion much like the BMW has and the aerodynamic front fascia. The vehicle will also include Ford’s Active Grille Shutters which have been created to help control the temperature of the engine while also increasing the efficiency of the aerodynamics.

The vehicle’s interior has a touchscreen display of 10 inches which manages the Ford’s Voice Control functions and also the Ford SYNC. Below the display you can find a whole range of different buttons which are used to manage the rest of the car. The Edge also includes and Obstacle Avoidance System and a Fully Assisted Parking Aid. The Obstacle Avoidance System is used to inform drivers when there are objects coming its way and will brake and steer the car when the driver hasn’t noticed these. The Fully Assisted Parking Aid helps drivers when it comes to moving in and out of the parking lot.
