It was an interesting weekend for Elon Musk, Tesla and Jason Hughes, a hacker. It all started with the Tesla Model S firmware update. According to Jason Hughes, the update contained more than a few details of the upcoming Tesla Model S and he has decided to have some fun with Tesla and Elon Musk.
The hacker tweeted to Tesla and Elon Musk stating that he knows their secret. The tweet was had a long code. It did not take long for Tesla to crack the code which revealed that he was referring to the Tesla Model S P100D.
According to Hughes, the new Tesla Model S will be coming in with a 100kWh battery pack which was one of the rumors that have been going around. He later reported that Tesla tried to force his Tesla S to downgrade its firmware but he manages to stop it in time.
Elon Musk later responded saying that the downgrade wasn’t his ordered.
