Tesla customers used to have about 6 options to choose from but now Tesla is looking to keep thing a little simpler by removing two of the Tesla Model S option. SO which two model will you be missing out on?
Tesla announced that they will be removing the Tesla Model S 85kWh battery option as well as the 90kWh model with the rear wheel drive system. That leave the 70, 70D, 90D and P90D.
According to Tesla, the reason they have decided to remove the 85kWh model is because they felt that the 90kWh battery that was offered later was better received by their customers as it offered about five to six percent more range than the 85kWh model. Tesla could choose to have to 90kWh battery pack for $3000.
Of course, this is not the first time Tesla had stopped offering certain battery due to low demand.
