If you planned to buy the Tesla Model 3 because you think that you will be able to enjoy the Tesla Supercharger Network for as long as the car will last, you will be disappointed to hear what Elon Musk had to say about that matter.
Elon Musk was at the Tesla Motor Annual Shareholder Meeting this week where he talked about the history of Tesla, their progress and more. Besides all of that, he also mentioned that since free supercharging has a cost, it will not be free for their Model 3 users.
Those that wants to enjoy the Tesla Supercharger Network and free for the rest of the cars life will have to pay for the package. This is what he said:
“Free supercharging fundamentally has a cost. The obvious thing to do is decouple that from the cost of the Model 3. So it will still be very cheap, and far cheaper than gasoline, to drive long-distance with the Model 3, but it will not be free long distance for life unless you purchase that package.”
