It seems that both Verizon and Google can’t look at each other eye to eye. For years now, the Big Red has never taken in any Nexus device. Today, the tables have turned as Verizon has started selling the Nexus 5 smartphone.
This is really late from Verizon as the Nexus 5 did its debut back in November last year. The timing of it is really poor and it unsure if the Nexus 5 will do well on the carrier. Other major carriers like T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T have all enjoyed great profits from selling the Nexus 5.
Another thing to consider is Google I/O happening next week. With the Nexus 5 already done and dealt with, Google is expected to highlight on the future of the Nexus. Fans are already looking forward as they can’t wait to see the goodness that is coming with the Nexus 6.
This upcoming smartphone is expected to be another revolution in the industry and LG will look to continue developing the Nexus smartphones. The success with the Nexus 4 and 5 deemed the manufacturer worthy of keeping its place. Then again, this is subject to confirmation. Google might hand the throne to other makers like Motorola or Lenovo.
Nevertheless, the Nexus 6 is expected to be the next big thing to come from Google. Let’s just hope Verizon won’t be late for this one.
