For more than a decade already, fans have been waiting for Half Life 3 but unfortunately, there has yet to be any announcement by the game developer on the development status of this highly anticipated title.
Even so, fans believe that Half Life 3’s coming is inevitable and the long delay is due to Source 2’s development. This is very logical as there can’t be Half Life 3 without Source 2. The new game engine is required if Valve wishes to make Half Life 3 a revolutionary gaming title.
While Source 2 might already be in development, the game engine seems to have suffered tons of delays due to Valve bigger interest in publishing B-grade gaming titles on Steam. As such, Source 2’s production made little progress in production.
Half Life fans know that once Valve is done with Source 2 game engine, official news will come shortly afterwards. Until then, fans will just have to keep on waiting until Valve announces Source 2’s launching.
