We understand why Sony did not want to announce the Sony Xperia Z5 successor at the MWC this year. With competition like the LG G5 and the Samsung Galaxy S7, it is likely that the Sony Xperia Z6 will be outshined but what they showed off in return got us all confuse.
It was initially assumed that Sony will be there to show off some mid and low range smartphones that they will be offering this year but what they announce was something close to a premium smartphone.
Sony took the covers off the Sony Xperia X, XA and X Performance and had specs that could match some of the top premium smartphones in the market leading many to believe that Sony might have ditched the Xperia Z6 and has decided to release a new range of flagship.
We do not know if we will be seeing the Sony Xperia Z6 this year or not but it is believed that the Z6 will be coming in with a 5.2inch display and will be running on a Snapdragon 920 processor. It might also be fitted with a 23MP main camera.
