We all assumed that the reason Sony did not announce the Sony Xperia Z6 at the MWC this year was because they want to avoid competing with models like the LG G5 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 but it looks like they might be avoiding it but quitting the competition altogether.
Instead of showing off their Sony Xperia Z6 which should be their flagship this year, Sony showed off the new Sony Xperia X Series and the weird part is that the X Series spec is as good as any premium smartphones in the market.
This had led many people to speculate that Sony might be thinking about stopping the Sony Xperia Z lineup and start all over with the Xperia X. They showed off three models this year, the Xperia XA, Xperia X as well as the Xperia X Performance.
