It feels like every smartphone manufacturer wants to offer their users a Fingerprint scanner now and while we link how much more security the scanner gives us, we would rather not have it if it won’t work properly.
Some Sony Xperia Z5 users have reported that the fingerprint scanner on their Sony Xperia X5 does not seem to be working at all. Some said that the device fails to recognise their fingerprint and more often than not, typing in a password will get the device unlock faster than trying to scan your fingerprint.
However, there were also users that stated that their scanner worked just fine and they’ve not encountered any issue with the scanner at all. Some users might have just gotten unlucky with the hardware but some users think that it might something to do with their fingerprint.
