While that might be no word on the Sony Xperia Z2 Compact, fans are already assured that the downsized smartphone of the original Xperia Z2 is a confirmed deal. Now, more information has surfaced to tell us what the Z2 Compact has got to offer.
The information came yesterday after Sony released the Xperia A2 for NTT DoCoMo online. Obviously, the A2 is going to be the Z2 Compact we have all been waiting for.
Back in the days of the Xperia Z1 F, it came out as the downsized Z1 for the Japanese market. Not long after that, the Z1 F went global with the name, Z1 Compact. The A2 is going to repeat that same release pattern for the Z2 Compact.
Looking at its specs, the A2 comes with a 4.3” Triluminos display that offers 1280x720p resolution. This is powered by the 2.2GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM, 20.7MP rear camera, 2.2MP front shooter, 16GB internal storage, a microSD card slot and 2300mAh battery.
The size of the device also compliments the rumours surrounding the Xperia Z2 Compact. On top of that, the A2 is both water and dust resistant. While the A2 is ticking every box to be the Z2 Compact, there is still no confirmation made by Sony. As such, do take this with a pinch of salt.
