Just recently, Sony released the Xperia A2 in Japan and it is identified to be the highly anticipated Z2 Compact. Like how it was with the old Xperia Z1 Compact, Sony launched a downsized version of the device locally first before giving it an international release.
The upcoming Z2 Compact is everything consumers that prefers smaller devices could have wished for. The 4.3” screen offers 720p HD resolution. This is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor that is accompanied by 2GB RAM. Heck, Sony might upgrade it to 3GB.
While most downsized devices always have their specs tuned down, it is great to see Sony making the Xperia Z2 Compact as great as the original device. Heck, there is even the 20.7MP rear camera.
All in all, the Xperia Z2 Compact ticks every box for a powerful small device. Expect it to be the most powerful smartphone in the 4” segment.
