The Sony Xperia Z2 has already been released and it is posing a serious challenge to its competitors. Soon, consumers who prefer a smaller device can get the downsized version of the Z2. The Xperia Z2 Compact is already released in Japan and it is already on its way to make its global debut.
While Sony has yet to mention anything on the Xperia Z2 Compact, tech analysts have all agreed that the recently released Xperia A2 will in fact, be the Z2 Compact. This is similar to last year, when Sony launches the Xperia Z1 F for NTT DoCoMo. Months later, the device went global under the name Xperia Z1 Compact.
It gets more convincing after we take a good look at the Xperia A2’s specification. The smartphone runs on the 2.2GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM. The eye-catcher is the 20.7MP rear camera which is similar to the original Xperia Z2. Then, there is also that same 2.2MP front shooter. The A2 has an internal storage of 16GB and it speeds away on the 4G network.
It is funny how all the specs mentioned above are characteristics of the Xperia Z2. Heck, it is basically the smartphone but with a smaller body frame.
As such, we believe that the A2 is the Z2 Compact. Sony can play dumb all they want but we are certain about it. Expect the Z2 Compact to come out soon.
