The Sony Xperia Z2 might be an aging device but it will still be getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. This has already been confirmed by Sony and now, Australia’s carrier Vodafone has more information on when the update will arrive.
Vodafone revealed in a statement yesterday that they are about to complete the Lollipop soak test and will look to launch the Android 5.0 Lollipop to the Z2 next week, following an update to the Xperia Z3.
Also, the update will start in the Oceana continent before reaching out to Asia Pacific, the rest of Asia and the rest of the world in that particular order. While there has yet to be any specific launching date for other parts of the world, it can be assumed that the Lollipop update process for the Xperia Z2 should be done and dealt with by the end of this month.
The reveal made by Vodafone surely give Xperia Z2 users a big sigh of relief as they are growing worried on not getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update at all.
